Also, I have a new theory about the old television. I don't watch it anymore. Instead, I wait for time to heal all wounds and then I watch the reruns of the best shows or I just pick up the dvd and watch all the episodes at once on any given weekend in the future. That way, fewer papercuts. Actually, that isn't true. More time in the NOW to get stuff done. Thaaaat's the ticket.
Also, I have good news and I have even better news. The good news is that instead of a Phd in stupid literature I'm applying for a some phd programs for Drama. For like dramatic criticism and theory and all that stuff. Because that is where my HEARTLIGHT is. And you have to follow your heartlight. The better news is that now I don't have to take the single subjects literature GRE and I don't have to have a 25 page writing sample. Just like a 15 page writing sample. Which is muuuuch more managable. Plus, I think with my experience and your good looks I'll have a much better chance at getting into a drama phd program then a literature one. Also, yesterday this guy I have a crush on at work, who I call "Hospital Hippie guy" called me, "the cute girl at the imaging counter." and said that he has to circumnavigate the globe that is the hospital I work at in order to make his way around the the area where "the cute girl at the the imaging counter" works. I am so great. I'm already planning our wedding. Save the date!
Schools I know for sure I am applying to so far:
U of Washington in Seattle so I can be best friends with my aunty tuney and my little baby cousin maggie and so I can say mean things to bucky.
U of Oregon, because Oregon is my state and that way I don't have to get a new drivers license.
U of california at Berkely, because I won't get in but it is worth trying so that Sara and I can finally be together.
U of Ca at Santa Barbara, because my mentor and advisor and generally awesome teacher Dr. Alma went there and they have a pretty good program.
U of Ca at San Diego, because I've always wanted to go there, but I know I won't get in because they only accept like 2 phd people a year versus the other schools that accept like 10-20.
I think I'm just going to stick to the west coast. But I might go crazy and start looking toward the east.
