My anonymous commenter is still commenting anonymously. I have chosen not to publish his comments but I still get to see them. Lucky me. In response to my not publishing his comments he has gotten a little bit bent out of shape and in part of his recent comment claimed, "I have been polite, witty, informative and added to the conversation." He also said some other things that were not polite, witty or informative in his comment but I was just curious if I am just in some weird mandy bubble and I don't see the polite informative wittiness of the comments? What do the rest of you out there think? Please, be brutally honest.

Well, I, for one, have tried to keep my nose clean of this business because I tend to get all worked up and start spitting all over the place when I get upset. And if there is one thing that upsets me, it is anonymity.
Also, I consider myself an authority on wit, and your commenter was a wit only in the dimmest sense of the word.
Really, though, meanness is funny. But not when you don't know where it is coming from. And anonymous commenting can be fun in the way it is fun to sneak up on someone and cover their eyes and make them guess who it is, which is to say it stops being funny and just becomes awkward and annoying after about ten seconds.
Oh Rishi, you are so wise. Soooo Wise. And tall. And handsome. And not at all weird or creepy.
But Justin is right, it is the anonymity that bothers me most, not the mundane, slightly offensive comments. And I've always hated when people come behind me and cover my eyes. Because they always have cold hands!!
Cold hands, warm heart, dirty feet and no sweetheart! That's what one of my old guys says everytime someone has cold hands. Every. Time.
And that tall, handsome wise man was me.
I always assume when it is rishi writing that it is justin! You didn't even know Rishi! You would have totally liked him though. Actually, not. You probably would not have liked him. He would have liked you though. A lot. Oh boyhowdy would he have ever.
As my father, your grandfather, used to say: "never talk to drunks."
Same goes for anonymous posters who have worn out their welcome. Well Come. That's how they write welcome in Nepal. Worn out his Well Come.
P.S. Mandykins if you ever want to post pitchers just email 'em to me and I'll stick 'em where you can link from them.
Like, say, pitchers of Jack and Chachi.
